Night out at the Pfister Hotel

Last Friday was Gallery Night in Milwaukee, so my husband and I dressed up to take in a couple of local art shows. I especially liked Claire Stigliani’s work at the Dean Jensen Gallery. Her pieces feel fresh and whimsical, with amusing nods to fashion, fairy tales and pop culture.

Afterward we attended the final Gallery Night fashion show for Pfister Hotel Artist in Residence Timothy Westbrook. His creativity and use of unconventional materials to make fabulous wearable art continues to amaze me. When we first saw his work during Fashion Night Out, only a handful of people were gathered for his runway show. This time, the show had to be moved into a hotel ballroom to accommodate several hundred attendees. See, Milwaukee does care about fashion! Before he leaves town, I need to give him a call–I have a tragic Zac Posen for Target tuxedo jacket in my closet that needs a Timothy makeover!
