Yesterday I went to the Arlington Million horse race in Chicago with friends and my family. I love horses, and the Million is a fun reason to dress up. A lot of European horses were running, but an American horse named Little Mike went wire to wire and won the big race.
My husband donned his new made-to-measure Gieves & Hawkes suit, with a Richard James pocket square and a Pucci tie. He looked quite dapper. I kept with the British style theme and wore my Alexander McQueen dress and YSL wedges. It was a really fun day, and I even picked a few winners.
After the races were over, we went to the theater to see a brand new musical called Hero. The story is set in a comic book store in Milwaukee, and it was very enjoyable. Check it out if it happens to come to a theater near you.
